How much does WCA cost to Join?
Membership is completely free, as are most events. However, Premium Events do require payment.
Can non-members and guests attend events?
Only if stated. Your friends, spouses, coworkers, and BFFs are wonderful people — but our members are our priority.
Only alumnae may apply to be part of WCA. However, we strongly encourage you to join our sister organization, WCA Students, while at USC — and get in touch with us when you graduate!
I am a student at SCA. Am I eligible to join WCA?
Yes! Many of our events are virtual, and we encourage you to join our Discord to keep in touch with WCA members in your local area.
I don’t live in Los Angeles anymore. Can I still be part of WCA?
No, we are an official alumni organization of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Our membership is focused on connecting and supporting SCA alumnae. However, there are some exceptions: For instance, there are some entertainment-related programs at USC where students take classes at SCA but officially get their degrees from another school like Marshall or Dornsife. If I didn’t go to the USC School of Cinematic Arts, can I still apply to join?
Yes, you will need to apply again. Visit Membership to learn more and to submit an application.
If I was part of the old Yahoo! Groups listserv, do I have to apply again?
Yes! We appreciate any and all financial support. We’d love to be able to offer more features to our members. We ultimately hope to raise money to support a sophisticated member directory, a mentor matching program, and events that are even larger in scale, so that we at WCA can become an even more influential voice in advocating for women in entertainment.
