So, just what is WCA?
Women of Cinematic Arts (WCA) is an official alumni organization of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, dedicated to supporting women in film, television and digital industries. Since our founding in 2005, we've provided networking, fellowship, and professional development opportunities for the alumni of the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.
We are an organization where women can come together to create powerful stories of all kinds. We want to empower women behind the camera, in the script, and in front of the mic -- so we are better reflected on the screen, in broader culture, and beyond.
Meet our Chapters
We have many members in Los Angeles, and even more around the world. We have two chapters at the moment - Los Angeles (headquarters) and New York City. We invite you to join your local chapter, or ask us about starting your own.

Our Current Board
Anjoum Agrama | Outreach Chair
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Anjoum received her BA in Film & TV Production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts where she was awarded the Jack Nicholson Scholarship in Directing. She is both a freelance director and editor, working on projects ranging from music videos to feature films. She has created content for SONY, Spotify, Apple Music/Beats and Red Bull, among other clients. Anjoum recently edited the MGM digital series Stargate Origins and indie feature Lawtown.

Heather Humpleman | Membership Chair
Heather Humpleman grew up in Orange County, CA, and received her B.A. in Critical Studies, along with a minor in Comparative Literature from USC in 2012. When she graduated, she co-founded a production company, Midnight Hour Studios, Inc., that specializes in cinematic videos for universities, brands, and institutions in Los Angeles. She is immensely proud of how the company has grown over the last half decade, and is excited to expand into narrative films.

Tyler-Rose Veguez | Communications Chair
Tyler-Rose was raised in Redondo Beach, CA and dream of being in “the industry” as soon as she saw Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. An early casting internship sealed the deal and she jumped into USC as a Business Cinematic Arts major. After a few internships, she found that her love of film was more that of a passionate consumer. Switching gears, she realized her career interests were in promoting access to higher education, and she has been a member of USC’s Admission Office since 2013. She is excited to still have a hand in the film world supporting women through WCA.

Allison Begalman | Programming Chair
In a parallel universe, married couple Charlie Kaufman and Larry David save a baby from the guido depths of Jersey. Acquiring her dads’ technological neuroses, emotional eating, and girl issues, Allison naturally became a writer--using disillusioned characters and fear of an Emoji takeover to build her darkly comedic worlds.
In actual boring reality, Allison escaped Jersey for California--graduating from USC's Writing for Screen and Television program. There, she created the first ever Feminist Media Festival, an annual program working to foster a network of feminist content creators. This year, her feature script B1 was featured on Tracking Board/Launch Pad’s 2017 Hit List. Currently, Allison works for Sam Catlin on PREACHER.

Sarah Jones | Operations Chair
Although born and raised in Minnesota, Sarah has come to feel at home in the hustle and bustle that is the film industry in Los Angeles. While at USC, she applied her degree in Film and Television Production with a minor in Business Administration to numerous experiences in development, at Material Pictures and Defy Media, to physical production, at Culprit Creative. She currently works as an assistant at Verve Talent and Literary Agency, where she is learning all that she can about the industry while supporting talented, diverse voices in the process. Eventually, she would like to produce action/adventure/fantasy content that features strong female characters.

Sarah Fischer | Finance Chair
Sarah grew up in a small, rural, Illinois town, where everyone knew everyone and the most popular club in high school was the Future Farmers of America. She knew early that such a town would not hold her imagination, and so set set off to explore the world, from Costa Rica to Wales, trying to figure out where she was going and what to do when she got there. Sarah has worked in production and development at OddLot Entertainment, HeyDay Films, the Kennedy/Marshall Company, and USA Network. Currently, she is showrunner’s assistant on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.
